2023 UpLink- Trillion Trees Challenge by World Economic forum
Perfect Village Communities PVC Burundi leads land restoration activities while boosting local economies. It involves local communities in the sustainable management of land while generating income for their families, to deter them from cutting trees for survival. It supports several income generation activities based on the commercialization of non-timber forest products, including food production technologies, bee-keeping techniques, natural remedies for the treatment of animals, and others, to provide alternate livelihoods.

They are generating renewable resources, restoring ecosystems, nurturing solidarity and building health, wholeness and resilience. They are bringing life back to damaged land and oceans, and reversing silent springs.

2022 Land Accelerator
In 2018, the World Resources Institute (WRI) launched the Land Accelerator Africa, the world's first training and mentoring program aimed specifically at companies restoring degraded forests, farmlands and pastures.
